Matrix-Q Circular Solutions

Luis Daniel Maldonado Fonken (LDMF) CEO, R&D Lead

Acceleration capacity is essential for a business that would like to adapt themselves to the modern challenges of markets and new emerging economy: as for change, ambiguity and uncertainty.

Learning skills, adaptation, flexibility and innovation are some of the competences an organization and its leaders need in order to engage into the praxis of innovation and acceleration methodologies.

Start-ups scale-ups, innovation projects in corporate, spin-offs, utilize their acceleration methodology to reach their preferred goals and milestones.

Learning skills, adaptation, flexibility and innovation are some of the competences an organization needs to engage into the praxis of innovation and acceleration methodologies.

Imagine a methodology that up-levels leadership competences and skills, enable acquisition of knowledge, helps you release trapped value and develop new technology, achieve collective intelligence and sustainable growth?

At the Matrix-Q Ecosystem we have a developed an innovative nature inspired and data-driven methodology that can help you solve any problem you may have. ( The Matrix-Q Methodology). Our road map to 2033 involve the deployment of tools, knowledge, technology, solutions that will enable the growth at global scale..

We have already started the process to enable export to countries like Canada, Peru, Germany, Hong Kong and plan to do the same to the Nordic Countries, Australia, Eurasia, Africa and Switzerland.

We have chosen to engage in social impact. What does it mean ?

It means for us to observe values, principles, engage into practices and strategies that have a positive impact in nature, culture, people’s quality of living, sustainable development and economic growth.

Why did we choose circular economy as our core business line ?

The answer is we would like to enable with our solutions, in collaboration with customers and stake holders, a better world.

Circular economy bring us back to a natural economy, the economy principles followed by nature.

Given that we are living in a finite resources world, confined in one single planet, our economy practices, theories and strategies should play within that restrictive reality. That is how we create a future for the human species and our planet.

There are still many complex challenges to solve, like population increase, global peace, inequalities, and others described by the United Nations which also suggested focus on 17 goals to be achieved globally for 2030

Circular economy creates a frame of reference for entrepreneurship that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship, enables trapped value release and economic growth, for which leadership, learning and proactive adaptive capacity are necessary.

Starting with climate change, 48% of carbon emissions would be reduced with a successful transition into circular economy.

Trapped value release involve generation of jobs, opportunities and up-level of industry innovation and infrastructure.

Industries, commodities and technology businesses, and services, that shift their value chains, and implement successful change management with circularity will contribute tremendously to the creation of a new world with zero waste.

It means as well a more responsible production and as a result also responsible consumption. Awareness by the consumers on the value of circularity will change tremendously the behavior of market, bargain, choice and purchase.

It also means that cities and communities that turn into circularity will achieve a better management of resources, and advance the quality of living of its citizens, sustainable living and economic growth of their locations.

An adequate use of resources, will keep land, water, air, soil clean, nutritive and the species living in the respective ecosystems safe from any human-made threat (from human foot print reduction to positive impact)

Circular economy principles applied to water resources would enable the implementation of new technologies that would contribute with the natural cycle of water and keep water clean for all species living in our planet.

Circular economy enables economic growth through innovation and trapped value release. An approach that applied to the human factor will enable innovation with disruptive impact in the human variable of the circular-economy equation: human competences, cognitive tools and social inclusion.

Along 2018 and 2019, we have developed through intensive hours of research and innovation a new model of circular economy which is human-inclusive. (3 Fold Circular Economy Model, by Luis Daniel Maldonado Fonken & M. v. K.). We have applied human capital knowledge, circular economy knowledge, and Matrix-Q Methodology; and designed new data-driven applications, automated tools and A.I. Engine that will optimize circular-innovation and accelerate the transition to circular economy.

Along the research process we applied circular economy principles to human capital, cultures and society, leadership and education. As a result we did unveiled a journey among 81+ sets of indicators and score lines associated to human circularity streams from which we have chosen 3 as the most relevant to start our work on.

The first of them focus on the application of circular economy principles to social inclusion and discrimination, by for example recovering the value of productivity, creativity, leadership and innovation provided by human capital by including people that experience distance to labor market. For example in the cases of people with disabilities, or people that still because of their gender, race, culture, color, lifestyle, religion or nation are not included in the labor force. As well as people with non academic competences, that while having the necessary knowledge, skills and technical capacity are discriminating for not having academic degrees.

The second pillar of human circularity we are focusing on is the one of human competences. 90% of our human species is lacking awareness and understanding of own skills, capacity or potential, in other words clarity regarding the value they are able to generate or contribute with society. Including their ability to find a purpose for themselves, which enables happiness and joy. When people thrive we experience an up-level of productivity, creativity, innovation; more balanced life-work-family-community and the achievement of happiness.

The fact that 90% of our global population has not access to simple methods, tools and learning process that enables clarity regarding own capacity, purpose and value, means a waste of human potential; with the immediate implication that without legacy that up-level our society and cultures, we do not evolve as species. Learning is essential, starting with learning about ourselves and unleashing our own potential. (Endo-circularity)

Human capital in our future society involves three components: Human, artificial intelligence and automatons. In that context, human competences have a greater value, for which today is the time to invest in. Ideally by applying circularity principles.

Finally the third pillar of human-circularity is that of cognitive tools. Since the industrial revolution, since strategic thinking and risk management has been utilized for decision making and leadership, a number of models, tools, has been utilized to help humans organize, assign value, score card, design and deploy solutions, decisions or plans. These tools, we call cognitive tools that help humans to think, learn and create. Giving the outcome of human-footprint we must address today it is Obvious the tools humanity have been using are not circular.

At the Matrix-Q Research Institute, member founder of the Matrix-Q Ecosystem we are upgrading these tools with circularity knowledge. We are already including some of them into our training programs for leaders available in 2019.

With human inclusive circularity we address Sustainable Development Goals SDGs #1 to SDG5, #10 & #16

Circular economy create jobs, boost innovation, generation of added value and new entrepreneurial opportunities that attract investment and enable change.

Considering education of the fundamental pillars for social change, education systems in all countries around the world should engage into including into the schools and universities education programs circular economy principles, systems thinking, innovation and human inclusive circularity as a new subject of study from primary schools to universities.

Knowledge and foundation skills for circular thinking need to be accessible to all population world wide, not only to engineers, entrepreneurs or governments. But to social and community leaders as well as to school teachers and youth.

Peace starts by enabling in the population knowledge, competences and resources necessary for survival, quality of living, sustainable development, and economic growth.

The Matrix-Q Method applied to circular economy enables an evolution in practices and competences applied by the human component of the value chains.

The barriers studied in our assessment of the quality of transition into circularity we would like to enable, has deeper roots in the human condition.

While the human species is perceived as skillful for adaptation, when the challenges are perceived and trigger in the individual the survival instinct, therefor adaptation and engagement; the human proactive adaptive capacity is rare to find, as it implies to change without a survival trigger, or in other words, without experiencing any emotional, psychological, economic or social pressure to change.

As for industries, markets and business, professionals and leaders that may be thriving today. Or for the economic growth that a globalized civilization with technology 4.0 promises to create within the following 10 to 20 years. To step out of our comfort zones of our successful business, career, lifestyle or family customs, may not seem a necessary consideration. For those that are experiencing today a way of living that enables high standards of quality and opportunities, change is not an option pushed by environmental conditions. Unless awareness on the relevance of footprint and use of resources becomes remarkably clear.

The change into circular economy needs to start into the economic growth generators and it means not only in markets, and industries, value chains, but as well into the people, leaders that make choices and enable change.

As we must remember that the status of footprint experienced in our planned along the last 300 years, has brought an outcome that is extremely detrimental to the quality of living in our planet, the necessary living conditions for all species. It increases the complexity and hardships to be experienced by future generations of our own human species.

Human proactive adaptive capacity is enabled by self-awareness, responsibility and personal leadership, combined with a smart use of human competences and learning skills. ( Learn more about proactive adaptive capacity, education and leadership, and how an education method we have created enable circular thinking and innovation )

Our methodology applied for the development of human competences, to unleash the human potential, is the kern / centre of our success by deploying our training programs for leaders.

We utilize state of the art components for education, like sonic and visual stimulation for brain performance enhancement, thinking and perception capacity enhancement that enable the use of a diversity of thinking modalities, gamification, lean thinking, lean learning, lean innovation and lean adaptation methods. Our focus is to up-level human adaptive capacity, circular thinking and circular innovation capacity.

Along 2013-2018 i have developed a research on economy, by utilizing the Matrix-Q Methodology. As a result i have arrived to the understanding that one of the mayor challenges humanity has today, as for barriers for a transition into circular economy globally is the individual’s capacity of perception of value.

From a diversity of value streams, the traditional linear economy focusses mostly in one of them. (Matrix-Q Methodology applied to economy, 9 streams of value, 9 economies, by Luis Daniel Maldonado Fonken)

For the economic’s health as for the natural ecosystems’ health, diversity is an indicator that needs to be considered. As it should be diversity considered in terms of perception of value. If we perceive only one stream of value then our chances to spot innovation opportunities and release trapped value are reduced.

For innovation in circular economy is fundamental that the innovators develop the ability to perceive value in areas of their organization, aspects of their product design, marketing, strategy and value chain, they have not paid attention to before. Which for trapped value release and circular economy will be perceived as blindspots and associated in several cases to barriers.

Human proof circular economy means that the human variable of the circular equation has been solved.

Our methodology (Matrix-Q Method) enables the use of knowledge, to approach technically complexity, and deploy simple solutions.

Sustainable development, social impact, inclusion, circularity should be always go hand to hand with economic growth, trapped value release, innovation, entrepreneurship and (personal) leadership.

The 17 SDGs, goals for global sustainable development, suggested by the United Nations for 2030, are an opportunity for implementing methodologies that enable innovation, optimize and accelerates the transition into a circular economy.

Trapped value release in value chains is reason for trillions of EUR in economic growth, an important enough “size a change and opportunities” to attract impact investment.

Global pressing issues, addressed by the SDGs, when approached from the perspective of circular economy, become opportunities for systemic change.

Including for example climate change, inequalities, peace, care for life in land and under water, sustainable management of water, and smart & sustainable cities, among others.

In conclusion, our decision as ecosystem, to focus on circular economy, is in harmony with the data-driven and nature inspired principles our methodology is based on. (Matrix-Q Method)

Along 2019, our journey as ecosystem meant for us to make a choice between a number of fields of innovation, solutions for social impact and pressing global issues we had ready products for. Our choice should enable a disruptive change with positive impact.

We have learned about the challenges and opportunities in the market, barriers and investment necessary for each of our innovations and products (Matrix-Q Research Institute 2016-2019), we have assessed and predicted the length of time necessary to achieve the desired outcomes if we would focus in only one of any of our innovations or solutions; and we have arrived to the conclusion that to engage into circular economy would give us the opportunity to deploy the best and most of our solutions, technology and knowledge, integrating them all as complementary to one central approach for solution making.

Matrix-Q Circular Solutions, becomes in Nov. 2019 the next step and milestone in the road map of the Matrix-Q Ecosystem.

Our first goal is to boost innovation capacity and circular thinking with e-test that measure proactive adaptive capacity and with new methodology for education (lean learning) integrated to scalable training solutions like immersive e-learning with V.R., e-Games and Animation. As well as automated tools that will help leaders assess the level of circularity they have achieved or are developing, predict challenges, optimize change management for example and accelerate their transition into circular economy. We are also developing an A.I. Engine that will become the Smart Circular Innovation assistant for leaders.

Our training programs for leaders, sustainability and circular economy consultants, as well as tools (scalable tools) for trainers and coaches, will help our colleagues and network members, stakeholders, to accelerate their transition into circular economy through acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences.

We believe in collaboration and strategic partnership, for this reason we have implemented an associated consultants program, where to deliver the best of our scalable tools, services and products, as well as advanced training.

The first step to do is to start with an e-Test, that will help leaders develop a new perspective of their situation, resources, opportunities, blindspots and challenges.

Our MVP with e-Test on MindSet conscious capacity and subconscious potential offers insight on individual and collective patterns of perception we carry, or our preferences for perception of value and approaches for solving challenges.

As well we have developed a new premium tool, that provides to trainers, coaches and consultants the possibility to assess the collective mindset capacity at the moment of facilitating services to them, like for example training sessions or group coaching with a collective number of attendees. This tool utilized in combination with our lean learning methodology will enable an on-site tailor-made of a learning process.

An advanced education (learning process management) praxis is to assess the mindset or focus, preferences and skills, strengths attendees to a course have, in order to adjust the process according to their condition. The trainer normally will invest from 20% to 40% of the learning process into assessing and collecting feedback (data) on how the attendees think feel or are able to work (complexity of solutions or topics they can deal with).

Our premium tool help trainer optimize the assessment process on-site, reducing it to just 3 min.

Both tools, the MindSet e-Test and the Trainer Tool (to tailor-made learning process on-site) are starting points to understand the impact and relevance of the human variable of the circular economy equation.

In following months we will deploy e-learning programs and additional e-tests ( from a total of 12) that will provide a multi-layer (dimensional) assessment of adaptive capacity and circular innovation capacity.

We have this month of November 2019 launched our first set of training programs for leaders which focus on circular thinking, innovation capacity and proactive adaptive capacity.

The circular economy 101 training will also introduce attendees to the human-inclusive circular economy model and give insight on how to apply circular economy principles to human capital, leadership and social inclusion.

With our innovative data-driven e-learning methodology we are producing immersive e-learning programs that will boost circularity learning and thinking skills.

I hope with this first set of products and services, including assessment and consultancy with a human advisor, we will be able to deploy a first season of services to our customers and associated consultants.

Looking forward to our road Map 2019-2021, and for new partnerships and team members that will join us on the road.
